at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina
ISCA’s 7th annual Youth Performing Arts Talent Competition

This is where and how the 2018/19 ISCA Sponsorships enriched and enhanced the arts experience of the youth in our community!
On behalf of the Island School Council for the Arts (ISCA), thank you for your generous tax deductible donations!!
Since 1971, ISCA has filled a critical gap in arts education, understanding firsthand the difference that quality arts programs make in shaping the youth in southern Beaufort County.
Because of caring community members like you, last Fall ISCA enabled 1,000 local students to attend and interact with the artists of The Public Art Exhibition at Honey Horn. We funded four inspirational Artist in Residency programs in Bluffton and Hilton Head providing in-depth and hands-on art instruction for over 472 students. Island School Council for the Arts also purchased 40 signed copies of dancer/author Misty Copeland’s Life in Motion, distributing them locally to underprivileged dance students. And we were thrilled to partner with The Memory Project again through a teacher grant to fund the creation of 167 portraits reaching 334 participants!
With your support, our Spring was filled with exciting Arts programs: we funded 15 dancers for the 90 minute Memphis Ballet Master Class, displayed 85 masterpieces in our ISCA Promising Picassos Studen Art Exhibition from February 7- March 7, 2019, had 100 students participate in our ISCA Rising Stars program at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Saturday, March 9, 2019 and awarded ISCA Scholarships to 5 deserving seniors!
Your dedication to supporting the arts and arts education in our community deserves applause! Thank you for taking ACTION!!
With Gratitude,
Board of Directors: Tami Davis Speer, President; Patti Maurer, Vice President; Lara Garniewicz, Secretary; Michel Claudio, Treasurer; Audrey Larkin; Meg Eberly
